Rimelda is a seer with great talent and she s sure she can help end the war Trying to work with Prince Ander to do so, proves to be a little challenging than she bargained for, as he doubts her abilities and there is some attraction present. Most of this book takes place on the quest to stop the war, which keeps the adventure going Things often happen suddenly, which spikes the tension levels, and then they would drift down to a steady pace again Personally, I would have loved the romantic interactions to be gradual, as they often happened out of the middle of nowhere and were very impulsive, with regrets as to the outcomes, often than not Prince Ander is definitely a bit frustrating I enjoyed the minor mysteries surrounding the quest and the surprises that crop up The characters are fun and are not your st...

Thanks to Serena Clarke for giving me this book to review. The Secret of Isian is the final book in this trilogy and while I really liked this novel, it was my least favourite of the trilogy Mostly because I did not feel the chemistry between Ander and Rimelda especially compared to the first two books This book has quests and prophecies but also came across as heavier than the previous books as it deals with deeper issues Ander is humble, considerate and brave, who always thinks of others before himself I was not the biggest fan of Rimelda as...

Fantastic read So fun to escape our world into this magical realm Lots of adventure and a truly humble hero that is worth admiring Prince Ander and Rimelda each have so much responsibility on their shoulders They are determined to protect Camdia and free their people from the darkness In the processes they learn about themselves and each other I loved that both the hero and th...

The kingdoms are preparing for war, gathering behind Prince Garin or his power hungry younger brother Darkness has descended on the land and rain hasn t fallen for months As the heir to the throne, Prince Ander is once again sent on a quest for a powerful artifact by the seer Rimelda This time, she insists on going with him Rimelda claims that Ander has a destiny greater than what he imagines for himself, but he doubts Rimelda s visions and his own self worth As they travel further, Ander begins to understand his place in prophecy and his feelings for Rimelda. This is the third book in the Isian trilogy and I d recommend reading the first two books before this one, although it s not required to understand the plot While the country has descended into war, it happens off screen and the book is focused on Ander s journey to find a secret weapon to end the war Because of this, there s no sense of urgency and it doesn t feel like the stakes are that high, so the book can vacillate between action and romance with no harm to the overall plot.I enjoyed the characters, the story is told from Ander s point of view but we still get a good impression of Rimelda s personality Ander is a humble prince, a good leader, and...

This is the third of the Isian cycle which I received for free from the author in return for my honest review All opinions are my own.I was very excited to read the conclusion of the Isian cycle and find out how the story wraps up Our main character Prince Ander is on a quest to find an enchanted weapon that can end the war and darkness that is plaguing all of Isian He takes his trustiest Knights and Rimelda the seer to help guide him on his quest.Their travels take them all over the kingdom seeking help from Centaurs, dragons and other kings Throughout the journey Ander is consumed with doubt that he is the right one to claim the weapon and save the day At first he seems a bit self serving in this doubt, looking for reassurance but, as the story continues you see that he really doesn t feel worthy of being the one to save the day He even doubts his feelings towards Rime...

Book 3 centers on Prince Ander and a seer called Rimelda She has told Ander that there is an artifact that will help end the war forever He sets out with a few trusted men, and Rimelda to find it He doesn t fully trust Rimelda because a lot of the quests she sent him on have turned out wrong, but she insists that s because he didn t follow her advice There is a prophecy and Rimelda insists that Ander has a big role in it, but Ander has heard the prophecy and doesn t believe he will play a part Can they stop this war before it s too late I have to say that this one was the best yet This is what I was hoping for in the previous 2 This had action and adventure as well as the sweet romance This is like it I loved this one a lot than the previous 2 Rimelda is by far my favourite character of the series She was bad ass and awesome She is a seer and had a vision about the artifact and knows Ander has a big role to play, but he is stubborn and doesn t believe her She knows she has to go on this quest with him I loved her character Ander was also awesome, he is such a sweet heart I loved seeing their relationship progress In all, this was like what I wanted Fille...

I highly recommend The Secret of Isian and the entire Isian Trilogy by Serena Clarke It is an enchanting adventure series filled with mystery, action, and romance The Secret of Isian is the third and final book in the series, which centers around Prince Ander He is a truly remarkable hero who garners the respect and admiration of everyone with whom he meets Ander is sent on a quest to find a secret weapon that will help protect his people and end the war that has been brewing since the first book Rimelda is a seer who helps Ander on his quest to end the war Despite Ander doubting her abilities, there is an undeniable attraction between the two I especially enjoyed how Ander and Rimelda are both humble and good natured people who would sacrifice themselves to save just one man I listened to the Audible version of this story narrated by Carolyn Kashner, who did a great job narrating with varying voices for both male and female characters Because this story picks up almost immediately after the second book The Alliance of Isian , I recommend starting wi...

This fantasy can be read as a stand alone, but has a few of characters from earlier books in the Isian series that will be familiar if you have read those This takes Prince Ander on a journey to find the secret weapon to destroy the darkness that has overtaken the entire land and caused wars, famines, and other horrors He takes a squadron of trustworthy men and Rimelda a pretty seer who baffles him as his helpers The journey is long and tests their mettle in many unique ways as they grow and develop as friends and comrades This was my least favorite in this series because the romance didn t cut it for me, but the fantasy part and action was pretty good, and that is the bulk of the book...

This is a good fantasy book, and even though the story can stand alone, I have read the previous books in the series I think I actually liked the previous two slightly better than this one, but I enjoyed seeing the overlap of characters and learning about them This book has action, mystery, and romance as well as some light humor , so it has a lot to like, and I appreciated that it was clean family friendly, though the interest level would...
