    An interesting and informative book, and yet I can t really recommend it to anyone.First off, it was written in the late 1990s with the explicit purpose of alleviating eschatological anticipation leading up to the new millennium Mr Birch shows that, if you accept the testimony of the Fathers and then of the private revelations given to numerous saints throughout history, there are a number of events that will happen before the arrival of Antichrist and the return of Our Lord As such it is still a relevant book for today.However it clocks in at over 700 pages It really could undergo probably a few revisions Quotations are repeated and repeated again Birch throughout reminds the readers of the authority of private revelations, and well as that of the Fathers of the Church Somewhat ad nauseum It is important to establish the criteria for evaluation Tradition, tradition, and private revelation But it could easily have been done in a much concise wa...
